In Hudson County, there’s nothing more important than fostering our local communities. Our fearless County Executive has served our 12 municipalities over these last 20+ years with numerous philanthropic events. This September, we’re aiming to raise awareness with our newest endeavor, a 5k in Lincoln Park, Jersey City. OnSaturday, September 10, 2022 the County is hosting the 1st Annual Hudson County Strides for Safety 5k A Race Against Gun Violence along with a Race Day After Party BBQ for all participants.

At this event, we are inviting our Hudson County community to run (or walk) to raise awareness and end gun violence here on our home front and across the U.S. Afterwards at the BBQ, we will have a County program with special guest speakers, including Senator Bob Menendez, Governor Phil Murphy and nationally known anti-gun advocates. We will also have an Awards Ceremony for our runners, musical entertainment and family activities, along with traditional BBQ eats and refreshments.
